Macie's Blessing

It certainly doesn't get any less special with your 5th child. Bringing a child into this world is such an amazing responsibility. We feel a great deal of joy knowing that our Heavenly Father has faith in us to raise these special spirits! Macie has been such a huge blessing. She sleeps! It is so fun to also have a cute little girl to treat as a princess. Sherrie, my mother in law is such a talented. I searched for a cute blessing dress on line and saw one similar to this and just showed her a picture and she made this precious blessing dress for Macie's special day. Cameron gave her such a nice blessing. I was actually able to listen. About a month ago we had stake conference and Cam was able to sit with me and I couldn't help but laugh when he tried to keep Kade on his lap and keep him from screaming! He was worn out after 5 min. I had to hand him macie who was sleeping and take care of Kade. I usually do this every sunday. I find someone to hold Macie and help with the other kids while I spend all my energy on Kade-it is quite the routine. We go from book to book, coloring, bottle, back to books, etc. It is constant. While he is playing with one thing I am getting the next thing ready. It was the same on her blessing I laughed while I watched my mom and dad try and entertain kade and trey. They did a good job and my mom actually did have a bag full of things to distract Kade with but it was fun to sit and watch for a few min. while they all got a taste of what I go through every sunday. It is that one hour-once a week that scares me of having more kids. I get a lot of help from several ward members. I ended up taking Kade our 2-3 times. He is so huge-it makes it hard to hold him down. I don't like taking him out because he will just run around so I take him out for a few min. talk to him about not screaming and take him back in. It was nice to have my mom watch Macie while I helped in nursery. After church we went home and had a late lunch. I put the soup on the stove to warm up and turned it up too high. The soup I stayed up til 130 am making-burned!! I was bummed but my mom brought a yummy cheese ball, veggies and veggie dip, yummy cupcakes and brownies. My dad tried putting peanut butter in the soup because he heard it helps take out the burnt taste. One more funny thing-Maryann and Jayni came to the blessing and sat in front of us. Maryann help Macie and helped with Trey and after my dad couldn't stop talking about how he had no idea it was Maryann-he didn't even recognize her he thought it was some nice lady in our ward who was so good with my kids. After we ate we packed up and headed to LA. It is always so hard for me to leave our kids-it was hard to leave Kade this time. we knew Bryson, Brielle and Trey would be just fine and really Kade would be too-he is still our big baby. Sherrie was soo nice to stay and watch them. She said it would be the first and last time so we'd better enjoy it so we tried. Kade isn't exactly easy to watch let a lone hold-he is so heavy to carry around and Trey is full of energy! Bryson will talk your ear off and Brielle if she hasn't gotten enough sleep will be her sassy self.
