I can bend over!!!

CRAZY!!! Crazy that I just had a baby a yr ago and a yr before that. Crazy that one minute you can be pregnant and the next you can have a baby! Crazy that you can schedule when you are going to have a baby. Crazy that we are now a family of 8! Crazy that I am nursing AGAIN! It all seems so CRAZY! AMAZING but CRAZY! My parents came down on saturday morning. Cam and I went to Costco on Fri to stock up. I finished a few last min. things sat and sun. My mom helped me finish a few blankets for Jada.  We made Gingerbread houses late Sunday night. I checked my messages which I normally don't do and found out that the hospital would be ready for us at 6:15am so it really was gonna happen. I had kept saying that I wasn't sure if I wanted to be induced but I was strep b positive and wanted to make sure I had an antibiotic in me for the 4 hrs. Well it was more than 4 hrs. I knew it would be at least 4 hrs so I had Cam drop me off at the hospital and get back home to help get the kids off to school. Kade couldn't have timed getting sick any better either-he had a fever and was coughing. Bryson had piano at 7am and Brielle had a dance performance at school at 1130 so I did my thing-got all checked in-hooked up and waited and waited. Cam kept calling and I kept telling him not to come until there was any action. The Petocin didn't even do much for me. They gave me the highest amount and even after the medicine had been in me the 4 hrs they turned it up and Jada just didn't want to come. You would think being number 6 my body would respond better but Macie was the same way-The dr came about 1 and broke my water. Still not much. I think Cam came around 2. My Friend Christina who is an awesome photographer. she took our family pics, macie's one yr pics and new born pics came and took pictures.  I have always wanted a photographer to come and capture the magic of the hospital experience and she agreed so she came as well and waited and waited. She left around 4 or 5 (I was only dilated to a 5) to take care of a few things. The dr came around 6 and I was finally progressing. I think I was a 7. He left to get some dinner and at 730-I was a 9+ so I was calling Christina to come back and the nurse called the dr back in. Baby Jada was coming wether she wanted to or not she was still quite high but I was fully dilated. It took me about 4 contractions of pushing and she was here 750pm. CRAZY!! The poor thing was posterior and came out with a really swollen hematoma on one side of her head. I think Christina got a good pic of it-i'll post later. Here are a few pics I got with my camera. I didn't take much because Christina took a bunch. Our night was pretty good. I let Jada stay in the nursery for a few hrs to try and get a few hrs of sleep. The kids were already either asleep or getting ready so they came the next morning before school to see their new sister. Macie was freaking out wanting to hold her and Kade was litererally pulling her away from me. I have a feeling I will be spending a lot of time protecting Jada. Grandma and Grandpa Meacham came by the hospital on their way back home. They watched the kids all day monday. It was nice to have their help. I especially loved their help at church on sunday :) As soon as Jada came out she laid on my skin and was wide awake and just as still as could be-I have a hard time not feeling bad taking them away from such a peaceful perfect place and just felt like she was scared to be here. I wanted to just squeeze her and promise her I would do my best to teach her, protect her, and love her as our Heavenly Father does. I wasn't too emotional until I had a chance to soak it all in. I had to wait until she was 18 hrs old until they could do her PKU test and then we could go home so we left the hospital around 4pm the next day. Brielle came with Cam to come get us. It is sooo nice to be in our new home and have a comfortable place to sit and lay and be able to walk around. Grandma and Grandpa Kelsch came to welcome Jada to the world. We had kind of a rough first night. Cam had his baby (kade) and Jada wasn't wanting me to put her down or open her mouth wide enough. Hopefully when my milk comes in she will do better.

Cam stopped at the store on his way in and each kid pick me out something. Cam also bought me three new charms for my charm bracelet. One of them is the color-Jade for Jada and the other has a baby booty dangling on it and the other is a chain. It was cute to see them all walk in with their gifts. Christina got pictures-ill post them later.

I had to post my yummy lunch! Seriously the food there makes you want to get sick to go visit. they have a menu that you order from and it is sooo yummy. I had an omelet for breakfast and this turkey cranberry sandwich for lunch and yes that is a brownie with ice cream :) I didn't eat a thing the day before so I justified rewarding myself ;)

The projector in our theater room was installed-this is going to be so fun! The kids LOVE it. Cam and I love it. We are excited to watch a bunch of movies over the next few weeks. What a fun Christmas-a new baby and lots of time together as a family!!
Last night the YM and YW came by to carol and I was caught a little off guard. They decided to sing Silent Night and I couldn't hold the tears back as I was standing there holding this new infant-tender and mild. It was a very special moment! It really hit me last night at the love that our Heavenly Father and Savior have for us. They want us to be happy!! I feel sooo grateful at this time for all that we have and enjoy. We have a beautiful family. the peace that the gospel gives us, our savior, friends, an awesome ward family, our health, a beautiful new home, work, and so much more. I feel a great desire to continue to thank my heavenly Father for all of these gifts and blessings by doing my best and more! I know these are all from him and because of our dedication to doing what we are supposed to do. At least we strive daily to do all we can-I hate that we fall short a lot and know we can do better but I also know that our Heavenly Father is happy with our efforts and desire. I want to make him proud.

What a gorgeous group of kids. I'm so glad for another Kelsch. I saw Bryson last night at his hip hop class and noticed that he is a really great dancer. Wishing you a wonderful Christmas!

What a beautiful family! I am so glad Jada made it here safely and don't worry, she knows she is part of such a wonderful family. How neat to be born to 5 other great brothers and sisters. Cam is such a sweetheart to bring those gifts for you. Have a great time this weekend with all the festives and movies! love you all and miss you.
