Lake Powell '09

Kade crashed as soon as we got in the car to come home. I know I need to cut his hair but why do I love it so messy?

Bryson expects a lot from himself and wants to impress others. he said, I love to get compliments. he always gets his feelings hurt if I don't compliment him or if I am complimenting Brielle and not him. Anyway, he was excited to start jumping the wake but he wasn't happy that he couldn't land them all. It is really hard to please him-it always seems like it's never enough for him. Lately he has been saying, "oh i just can't wait until I can be a cub scout (not just a weblo), and old enough to work at the spa, and just can't wait to go on a mission. It really never ends with him. There is always something he needs or can't wait for.

Caden got up on the wakeboard this yr and double ski's. Bryson wasn't happy with himself because Caden already learned how to go out of the wake and he just learned this yr. Bryson also got up on ski's. When we were leaving he was so bummed he never got up on the surf board. He said, "I only learned one thing this yr." I had to remind him of the other things he learned.

When we were sick of following Kade around we just put him on the wave runners and he loved it-he kept saying Weee and stearing

We or I should say They had some great water all week. Cam really enjoyed doing other things besides wakeboarding. He really enjoyed skiing and chris and Cam did the air chair and surfed

This is all you need-the kids jumped off the boat for hours!!

If you click on this pic-you can see Cam's poser face. This was the extent of brielle's adventures-cam pulling her on the ski's. She really wasn't interested in much. she loved swimming-all day.

I have to be honest, I wasn't really very excited about our trip this year mainly because I was 36 weeks pregnant and huge!! I also didn't like the kids missing school. After our first night, I didn't know how I was going to survive the week (it was hot and I was very uncomfortable) but when we were driving away I had to hold back the tears because it was such a nice trip. I remember last year we were all emotional about leaving and this year was the same. There is something about being with family and relaxing in such a beautiful environment that is so soothing. It has taken us a few days to get back into the swing of things. It is kind of funny how hard and miserable the circumstances really were with the pregnancy and having a one yr. old-all of that didn't seem to matter when we watched our kids have so much fun. Cam had a fun time mastering the air chair, slalom, surfing and wake boarding. He was in charge of Kade the rest of the time so he didn't get to read a book this time. kade actually cooperated pretty good. We looked forward to his two hr naps he took twice a day and then the time we could put him down for the night. It gave us a little break. It was nice to spend time with Chris and Laurie and Laur and Travis. I even brought all of my scrapbooking stuff and we made some cards.
