Coming Soon and not just a baby!

It is amazing well a little frustrating to be honest how the Lord prepares one getting ready for a baby. It is 1:30am and I am sooo tired and can't sleep. It baffles my husband because like many of yours he is asleep before his head hits the pillow and can sleep anywhere anytime even if not tired. I feel like he has a talent that I wish I had and truely would be helpful with kids but anyway here I lay 6 days away from our little girl Macie laying next to me not able to sleep for several reasons. One-I have had a head cold for a week now and am stuffed up, 2-I am huge and uncomfortable 3-i can't stop thinking about a fun new exciting not sure what to call it because it is a new business but I am not doing it to get rich it is more for fun selfish reasons I guess. I am doing it because I wish it were out there myself and know every mom does to, and I think a lot of talented women can benefit from it as well. Ok are you ready! the new business will be called: Little Macies memories made easy & more. Here is the long version of the inspiration-I like every other mom am behind well let's face it haven't even started the scrapbooks (evil word) of any of my kids, our family, or even our wedding. I am now on our 5th child (our little macie), and we have been married 9 yrs. In fact i hadn't even printed a picture for several yrs not knowing what to do. I have one precious book and that is last yr.-our family blog but do I print a book for every kid every yr (again expensive-especially for 5 kids) or make a blog for each kid so it has all the cute pics of just them and even more overwhelming-how do I catch up. I think most have given up on the traditional scrapbooking and I have taken a few photoshop classes and loved the digital idea but still so expensive-$3 a page and honestly besides the money a lot of time and I am just not very creative. I was with a friend and she was showing me how she was buying the plastic sleeves for her 12 x 12 albums to slip her 4 x6 pages in. there are 12 total slots 6 in front and 6 in back and pebbles does the cute 4x6 scrapbook theme pages that I thought maybe I could at least do those but still. time consuming. then I thought I could do them digitally and even more exciting I could print the same birthday theme 6 times one for each kid and our family and be done and then I could print them for others and why not sell them. Then I thought of a cousin who is digitally creative because let's face it others just have a gift for it. so I called Katie my new creative designer and presented the idea to her and she loved it and is designing away. Another one of my concerns was making it affordable not only for others but for me because I am way behind and to catch up is too expensive and this has been the cheapest option for me. Believe me I love to shop but I also love good deals and I am kind of picky. One more exciting option we will have-how many of you have just stopped ordering the 8x10's of your kids because you have so many and don't know what to do or are like me and are still ordering them because they are nice to have but sit in a box. I thought it was silly that you couldn't find a 12 x 12 with a 8 x10 slot so we are having them made with a 2 x12 slot at the top and a 4 x 10 side bar. Katie has designed the cutest headers for these pages and cute side bars to fill up the 12 x 12. You will be able to buy these several different ways because our needs are all different. I am excited about selling the entire album put together all you have to do is insert the pic., because this is what I would have needed. A lot of you have done traditional books and will be able to just buy the inserts for the pages. I am excited to use these to catch up and do a few digital pages here and there and still use those-chance are I won't because this will be too easy. I need to finish in the morning because my 1 yr old is crying. ok he is back asleep and I still can't sleep. I love our little Kade he layed with me for a few min. smiling, and went back to sleep. I guess I need to finish so I can get it out of my head is that possible. I have spent the past 3-4 days printing sorting and filling albums and by tomorrow I will have all of my kids books filled plus a our family book. Each book will be able to fit 9 yrs starting with the baby inserts of each month so you will have their first yr with inserts to write on up until their 10th yr and the second book will be for ages 10-18 then they are on their own! tomorrow I will put some samples on to view because it is so much easier to get when you see it. We are going to be selling these at the what women want expo at the end of Oct and at the dickens festival in Nov. We have a website where you will be able to order them online and I have visions of having a store here in town that not only sells these but also sells, little boy ties, pillowcase dresses, car seat covers, nursing covers, diaper bags, sterling silver baby bracelets and hair bows, blankets, and more... (sewed by my mother in law and a few friends who are amazing seamstress') my little sister had the idea of making the store a photography studio as well and selling custom frames, and baby furniture done by her husband. We will start with the expo's and see how it goes but I wish there were a store here is st george where you could get all of these items because I spend a lot of time on line, or hitting several stores trying to track down some of these cute items that are affordable-this is our goal. We will have some of these items at the expo as well and on our website (still coming).
