I don't think we will ever be able to top this event. May was very eventful but the 24th was the most exciting day of all. Grandma Johnson wanted to honor my mom on her birthday for the 20+ years of teaching violin. She just retired in February. We held a surprise celebration. Grandma rented the city hall and Leanne and Laurie planned the rest. I don't think it could have gone any better. It was perfect. Her response was perfect and genuine. There were 70-80 people there from family to friends to past students. This picture was of Chris presenting her birthday gift. when the suzuki car came out my mom always said she should drive one because she taught the suzuki method. Well my mom needed a new car and it was fitting to get her a new suzuki car.

Leanne found a perfect very fitting song, Thanks for the Music, that all of my bro's and sis's and their spouses sang at the end. It was hard to sing without getting emotional when we thought about how much my mom has influenced our lives with music
Cam and I wanted to stay and see Cam's brother, Adam's, all-star baseball game and my brother greg's high school graduation so we made a week of it and stayed at westgate in Park City until Thursday.
We have a two bedroom timeshare and so we got the presidential suite with a hot tub on the porch, a steam shower, 2 huge jetted tubs, and even a badae sp? in the master. the kids had fun swimming and playing the wii.
The kids loved playing with their cousins on the grass at Adam's game. he did great!!

Wow that was amazing about your mom I want to hear the entire story in person...on Friday? Your awesome Michelle I hope to be like you when I grow up:) You had a loaded month and I thought I was busy.
Shell...you are the best. I can't believe all that you do. I love how close your family is! I was so sad to miss your mom's celebration:( It was nice to see you for a minute at church, but you are right... we need to really spend time together. next time we're down for sure! I love you and look up to you SO very much!
Michelle - you guys did such a great job with your mom's party!! Hey - about the 2009 reunion...you guys need to just pick a week that works with your spa. Or, if there is a couple weeks that would work, you could post them on the blog, ask for feedback (a vote poll or something - I'm sure Laurie knows how to add it, if not I do) and then you could just go with the majority. I don't mean to stress you out - I know your baby is due, like now. But knowing this far ahead, people would just put in on their calendars, and plan on it!!
